Carriage House style doors are meant to look like swinging barn doors and complement rustic style homes.
For a more custom look, garage doors can be manufactured with wood overlay to give the look of a wood door with the durability of a steel door.
Custom Garage Door Construction
Custom Garage Doors start with a two inch triple-layer steel garage door. Depending on your design preference one or two layers of wood or composite overlay is attached to the face of the base door to build the pattern.
An overlay door will be either 4 or 5 layers thick. The innermost layer is steel. Insulation is laminated to the inner steel and then another steel layer forms the face. The outer layer(s) are the overlay.
The result is a strong, durable door that is as beautiful to operate as it is to view.
